Bright Spots
Suicide “Bright Spot” Learning Collaborative
Join partners in suicide prevention to celebrate Bright Spots, successful and impactful work going on right here in South Dakota. This learning collaborative will take place virtually monthly. There will be a brief presentation from a partner in South Dakota followed by discussion and networking. This is a great opportunity to learn from various organizations and take back to the communities that you serve so we encourage you to attend all virtual meetings.
While talking about suicide can be really tough, or maybe even uncomfortable, it’s important to recognize the work that is going on in our state. As part of the 2020-2025 South Dakota Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan, we have made it a priority to highlight “bright spots” in our state, through organization’s success stories. These organizations are working to change the narrative, and inspire hope among those that may be struggling, or know somebody who is.
If you, a family member, or friend are feeling overwhelmed with emotions such as sadness, depression or anxiety, please know help is available.
